IBS Score Match 100 Yard Bench Rest

INTRODUCTION

The intent of the matches is to allow IBS score type rifle shooters to compete with the necessities established by IBS sanctioned rules. In addition, non type IBS center fire type rifle shooters are encouraged to participate in the matches. Members are encouraged to bring a guest as well as contact new members for additional club involvement.

Rifle Classes

(1) VFS Heavy Varmint — weight not more than 13.5 pounds.

(2) VFS Light Varmint — weight not more than 10.5 pounds.

(3) Hunter Class — See IBS rules

All IBS rules apply to first three classes. Eye and Hearing protection is
MANDATORY.

The intent of the matches is to allow a wide range of rifle type shooters to compete with the minimum of necessities. Members are encouraged to bring a guest as well as contact new members for additional club involvement.

Schedule: Matches are held the fourth Saturday of January, February, March, April, May and June.
Fee: $15.00 each match
Registration Time: 8:00am to 8:45am
Sight in Begins: 9:00am Match Begins: 9:30am

MANDATORY
Safety at all times Eye and Hearing Protection
Action Indicator Center Fire Rifles must be capable of holding at least 5 rounds without reloading

ALLOWED
Spotting Scopes
Rifle scopes limited to maximum Twelve(12) power settings, Non-Mechanical Rests and Bags to Safely Support the Rifle
Front and Rear Sandbags to Safely Support the Rifle

NOT ALLOWED
50 Caliber BMG Rifles, Armor Piercing Ammunition, Mechanical Rests, Tracer Ammunition, Wind Flags, Full Automatic Rifles: A Rifle that "doubles" will be Immediately Disqualified

Rifle Classes
CMP Service Rifle: Ml Garand, 1903, 03A3, 1941 Johnson
NOTE: As Issued Condition Rifle using Full Metal Jacketed or Ball Ammunition

Other Service Rifles: U.S & Foreign: 1917, M1 A, M1 Carbine, AR, AK47 NOTE: As Issued Condition Rifle using Full Metal Jacketed or Ball Ammunition

Accurized Class: Magazine Fed Bolt Action or Semi Auto Military Style Rifle "accurized" or "not accurized" NOTE: No Restriction on Bullet Design

Scope Class: Magazine Fed Bolt Action or Semi Auto Military Style Rifle “Accurized” or “Not Accurized” with a mounted scope. Limited to 12 power.

Hand Loaded Ammunition must be loaded with Full Metal Jacketed (FMJ) Bullets or "Ball Ammunition".

Awards will be Presented to the Shooters with the Highest Scores in Their Class at the July Picnic

100 YARD COURSE of FIRE

IBS 100 Yard Score Target for reported scores: Sighter relay followed by five (5) record relays. Each relay will allow ten (10) minutes to fire five (5) shots on the five (5) record bulls. 20 minutes between relays.

Open Class: select from SR-1, SR-21, or MR-31 depending on challenge desired. Ten (10) rounds fired on one target during the sighter and each of the five relays.

Match fee $15.00 per shooter. Registration starts at 8:00 AM. Sight-in at 9:00 AM.

Rimfire

Rimfire Rifle Bench Rest Matches – 50 Yard Range are held from October through March add on the 3rd Saturday of the Month(Except January).
This match has been designed to involve as many rimfire rifle shooters as practical. Members are encouraged to bring a guest as well as contact new members for additional club involvement.

Rifle Classes

Light – Any rimfire rifle with any sights weighing 8 ½ pounds or less.
Heavy - Any rimfire rifle with any sights weighing 15 pounds or less.

Rimfire includes .17 and .22 calibers. Rifles can be single shot or magazine fed.
Front shooting pedestals must have a sand type filled bag. Rear support must be a sand type filled bag. No return-to-battery support systems.
Rifle scopes limited to a maximum 12-power setting. Spotting scopes allowed.
No wind flags allowed.
Ammo limited to a wholesale cost of $7.50 per 50 rounds (honor system).
Eye and Hearing protection is MANDATORY.

50 Yard Course of Fire

Three Stages of 20 rounds each. Fifteen minutes per stage. Targets will be 50 yard small bore rifle Mid-Nite and Moon-Lite League. (Four record bulls for 5-rounds each and one sighter bull.)

Match fee is $10.00 per shooter. Registration starts at 8:30 AM. Sight-in at 9AM
Match starts at 9:15 AM. Awards will be given for best scores at the end of the ‘season’.

CMP CLINIC AND 100yd HIGH-POWER MATCH

Dates: First Sunday of each month January thru April and October thru December. A total of seven matches.

Times: Clinic starts at 9:00am with field stripping and cleaning the M1 Garand along with a briefing of the course of fire. Match starts at 10:00.

Location: Lakeland Rifle and Pistol Club, Lakeland FL.

Fees: Members $10.00, Non-Members $15.00. All Juniors are ½ price.

Classification: NRA Classification will be used. Unclassified competitors will compete in the highest class represented. Categories at the option of the Match Director.

Rules: Latest published NRA rules. Competitors will frame and score targets.

Equipment: As prescribed in the NRA rule book under service rifle and/or match rifle (must be able to reload in rapid fire, per rule 9.220) NO SCOPES

Challenges $1.00 each, refunded if won. Use of plug scoring devices limited to range personnel only.

Course of fire: 50 shots, National Match Course Modified. Match starts in position. Unlimited sighting shots in 10 minutes before match.

Match # 1: 10 shots for record, slow fire standing at 100 yds. Time limit Target SR-1 No slings.

Match # 2: 10 shots for record, rapid fire sitting or kneeling at 100 yds. Time limit 60 seconds Target SR-1

Match # 3: 10 shots for record, rapid fire prone at 100 yds. Time limit 70 seconds Target SR-21

Match # 4: 20 shots for record, slow fire prone at 100 yds. Time limit 20 minutes Target MR-31

Match # 5: Aggregate of matches 1-4.

OPEN BOLT INDICATORS (FLAGS) will be used by all competitors
No awards will be given. Match results will be given to all competitors.
